I am a self-taught visual artist of Italian origin, currently residing and working in the Netherlands. Citizen of the cosmos. I embrace surrealism as my primary mode of expression.
My imagery consists of surreal juxtapositions of simplified organic shapes or basic geometrical constructions. This visual language is often accompanied by an ironic undertone, which celebrates the crude and often unwittingly mocking nature of fate.
I use vibrant colors without too many shades to give my paintings a cartoonish look, in playful contraposition to the more serious and philosophically engaging themes that many of my artworks try to convey.
Our connection to the cosmos is deeply rooted within our atoms; and it's that connection must celebrate and build our future upon: "We are made of star stuff", as Carl Sagan beautifully put it.
